On Tuesday 30 March 2010 a group on Facebook organized an action against the utility company Aqualectra to protest against the recent black and brown outs on the island. There is also a constant debate on the importing of 150 employees by the new to be opened hotel Hyatt and a delegation of the Parliamentis preparing to travel to the Dutch Parliament to witness the proceedings inDutch Parliament on the constitutional reforms.

On 25 March 2010 the media reports that Parliament approved legislation to make the elections possible. The Prime-Minister states that these elections will be in August 2010.

On 19 March 2010 it is clear that the alliance of LdK is broken. The three parties (MAN, FK, NPA) are split. NPA is in the process of electing a new political leader. And also on this day it is published that the tasks of the Central Government have been decentralized massively to the government to Curaçao.
